Hello — an engineering manager introduction

I'm Iheatu Chris Wogu, an engineering manager. This is a short introduction to who I am professionally — and why this blog exists.

What I do

I lead engineering work where the hard part isn't a single service — it's the seams: multi-team launches, integration truth, and delivery systems that still make sense when agents write most of the diffs.

My operating bias is simple: engineering-led, agent-accelerated. Agents are the default execution substrate. Humans retain intent, architecture, specification approval, and merge gates. Throughput without contracts just produces unreviewable PRs.

What I've been building

Over the past year my work has clustered around three themes:

• Launch clarity. Turning fifty-plus Confluence pages into one MVP shopper journey map for Cub Cadet's DTC program — then layering SIT workflows and E2E coverage so integration isn't a hope phase.
• Honest metrics. Growing a one-off PR timeline script into a GitHub analysis CLI with parallel fetch, cached raw data, and column definitions you can argue about in a README. I've shipped the wrong metric definitions in public and fixed them the same day — that honesty belongs in the record.
• Agentic delivery as methodology. Shipping an open framework for specs as execution contracts, human-in-the-loop PR review when AI writes faster than you can read, and repo navigation via knowledge graphs — so agent work stays governed instead of vibe-coded.

How I write

Expect evidence over slogans: git anchors, ticket counts, named anti-patterns, and a short playbook peers can try next week. The longer series behind this site walks that path from April through August 2026 — from mapping a DTC launch through chronic regression analysis and token-aware agent workflows.
